H.R.H The Prince of Wales Institute of Engineering Technology was established in 1927 with the financial aids of rupees one lakh from a great Assamese timber merchant Late Bholanath Boruah. It is affiliated to the State Council for Technical Education, Govt. of Assam. It is also approved by All India Council for Technical Education. The campus of Prince of Wales Institute is located at the heart of the Jorhat Town
The institute offers a three year diploma courses in 7 streams and offers various short term courses under different departments.The faculties of the institute are highly qualified. All the departments have facility of modern laboratories with computer and hi-tech machines.
