Prince of Wales Institute Library was established in 1952 in a small room. There was a small collection of books on various Engineering subjects. It shifted to the main Administrative building 1st floor. At that time few journals and news paper available at the library. 2005 in May, Library was shifted to the new building 2nd floor. Now curpet area of 300 sq meter. There are 17000 Nos. Of books, including the text books and reference books in engineering subjects. Some other books are also available etc. besides a few nos. of journals and news papers. The Govt. of Assam sanctions book grants from time to time. Every year the Institute purchases books from the students fund also. Moreover readers also donate books to the library.
